This location robs you blind!! When they make you an offer they never tell you what they are not taking. I have never had anything come back. But it's up to you if you want what they are trying to give. I walked in today with over 20 Dvd's offer was $0.50. Wast of time and gas. That was the last time i go to that location!!!
I counted off a star because of the ridiculousness of Half Price Books' (overall) trade-in policy. You can bring in boxes and boxes of books that are salable and current, and they'll offer you something that's almost insulting (such as $3 for over two dozen books).
Books are organized and placed in appropriate categories. They have books of all kinds from poetry to teen fiction to cooking and learning sets on Chinese calligraphy. Most definitely coming again.
Very friendly and well-stocked branch of Half Price Books! Their fiction section was filled with great works on my last visit--I wanted to leave with three times as many books as I did. Their displays near the counter were well-done too, as they reminded me of a kid's book series I hadn't yet finished collecting (Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark)
This Half Price Books is near and has a good children's collection. I think that they underpay for what customers bring in, though, & the bathrooms are not nice.
Had to turn a terrible book. Didn't have the receipt. No problems. Clerk just issued store credit and we ended up with a much better book. Excellent experience!
Plus, the store, neatly organized, is an exciting treasure hunt.
