Drove through today to check out the park. This was the 4rd park of the day. No one else took issue with my request to look around. Within minutes I was stopped by some rude woman. I told her I was looking around. Before I could tell her I had just bought a motor home and was scouting camp grounds she snapped "The road is closed down here, turn around and leave the way you came." Not a smile, Not a friendly tone of voice her attitude was "You're not supposed to be here, leave." So I did. No worries cart lady I won't be back.
Recently completely renovated with new cabins and RV slots. This is an excellent little cove off of Lake Grapevine. My favorite amenities are the kayak launching dock, the fire pit with a great view of the lake, and the small playground by the cabins for the little ones.
Great campground. Simple clean restrooms and showers. The shower had good water pressure. Some of the sites have a great lake view. The area for the bigger rigs are pretty much parking lot style, but if you have shorter rig have some nice spots which are set in a group of pine trees.
The folks here bent over backwards to accommodate us during a hospital stay and treated us like family. The park itself is excellent, nice shaded sites with views of the lake, wifi that works and quiet at night. Highly recommended.
One of, if not the nicest of them all, RV parks in the North Dallas area. Spacious, friendly staff, 30 & 50 amp hookups, water hookup, dump station, excellent rates, laundry and shower/bath house facility. Next to a really nice lake. Campsite grill. Semi-forested with large trees only. 30 minutes from downtown Dallas. Easy RV access.
