I was so excited to purchase a sectional from here. I walked in and walked around and saw a beautiful sectional! An old man walks up to me and kinda greets me and tells that they have on sale items over there? Items that his sure that i can afford! WTF!! I walked out and drove to Rooms To Go and have a very beautiful living room set.
We purchased a dining room table and ottoman, including the warranty coverage. The warranty coverage did not cover our problem and Haverty's took it upon themselves to replace our table, free of charge. If you go to the Lewisville location, ask for Chester. He is very nice and will take great care of you.
I'm giving 3 stars to this store because of their designer Arlene and the floor manager Brock otherwise I would have given 1 star. Each Haverty's has same furniture and almost same pricing. The only difference is the customer service. We worked for few days with Hasnat who was very polite but then at the same time her pricing was high than what we were given by another sales person. The day we went to buy the furniture Hasnat was on off, so we worked with another guy called Mark. The dinning table that we liked had side chairs and then one can also choose armed chairs. The difference was only 10 bucks. So we decided to go for armed chairs. What should have been addition of 40 bucks, Mark wanted to charge me 150 bucks because of the group purchase etc. He did not have any customer skills. Not only we walked out of the store which we hated to do because of the great service provided by Arleen and Hasnat we bought our stuff from another Havertys and we are never going back to the one in Lewisville.
My wife and I purchased a dining set from this location. On the recommendation of the sales lady, we purchased a protection plan for almost $500. I specifically asked if it covered animal damage or kids, and the answer was an emphatic yes! So when one of my dogs decided to chew on a chair leg I made a claim. The process to make a claim is anything but convenient in itself, but that I was promptly told that chewing is not covered. They only cover stains from feces or urine. Customer service was short and rude. I made it clear that I was very frustrated. I went back to the local store and of course the saleslady no longer works there. The best that they have offered is a $150 gift certificate. I should have known better! This experience speaks to the integrity of this company. The sales lady was very eager to sell us furniture and therefore was not clear about what was covered and what was not covered. There are lots of places to buy furniture. Havertys will not be one for me in the future.
