This was my first time going to studio movie grill at lewisville location. The place is nice but the service is worst. So the process is to press the service call button if you want to order something at your seat. So I pressed the button and the server came after 5-10 minutes. He then switched off the service call button saying someone will be there shortly. After 15-20 min later, when no one came then I pressed the button again. This time the server came and took order for drinks and food. This time the movie had already started. Then around 30 min later, my food came but with no drink that I ordered. I asked about it and the server said, its brewing so it will be there in 5 min. Surprisingly those 5 min never came. I had to press the service call again after waiting for like 20 min. Then the guy brought the drink which was not what I ordered. So looking at their horrible service, I had to get up in middle of the movie to get the correct order.
Will not be returning. Empty on a Sunday afternoon so made assumption that service would be fairly good. Didn't have any menus when we sat down. Rang buzzer for some. Waitress said another person would bring them. They never showed. Finally got some. Food came. It was good. When the waitress returned to clear it, she spilled it all over myself and my son. It was melted ice cream. It was in my hair, down my back, across my son's shirt and hat. Never did a thing. We jumped up to wipe it off ourselves and she stood off to the side and didn't move. Called the Lewisville location and asked to be contacted regarding it. Really just wanted to make them aware so that the wait staff is more careful (not looking for anything out of it). No response. Filled out the survey with same info. Asked to be contacted. No response. I'm done with Studio Movie Grill.
The concept is amazing, and pretty genius. I love the idea of eating good food while watching a movie. When we first went there, to a location in Louisville, we bought our tickets there. However buying our tickets online was much better, as when the employees asked for my ticket, they just scanned something on my phone, and that was it. Definitely one of my best movie experiences.
I went for a 4pm showing of a movie, pretty early but it's good time. No one greeted me at the door or provided a menu. When I found my theater room, during the previews I decide I wanted to place an order, so I pressed my button 5 minutes passed no service I had to press three other buttons for someone to show up. The waiter gave me attitude that she had to go to the front of the building to get the menu, because I wasn't provided one upon entry. Movie of course was great, the service was horrible. Avoid this theater. There other great ones around.
One of the worst experience ever. I was thinking of hosting my companies yearly get together there, but looking at this experience, that is never happening.
An awesome concept. Dinner and a movie! What's not to love? The seats are pretty good although I've seen better. I like that you can choose 3 different seat types. The food is pretty good too! A bit over priced for what it is, but still affordable and tasty. Will definitely keep enjoying movies here. I like the fact the you don't have to buy food or drinks, or at the push of the button you can get anything from pasta, to burgers to beer!
