This practice badly messed up my mother's insurance billing - TWICE! In spite of having good insurance, she ended up having to pay almost $1,700 out of pocket in order to avoid being turned over to collections. We were told in September that she would be issued a refund, but it is now January and no one can explain to us why the refund has never shown up. In addition, prescription refills commonly take over a week to get processed. The assisted living center where my mother lives told me that they don't run into these problems at most of the other practices they work with. I'm posting this information in as many forums as I can find because I want to warn other patients and in the hope that the practice can improve, if they actually care to.
My mom became a patient at the clinic following her stroke in 2014, which was shortly after they opened. We haven't experienced any billing problems, everything I've seen has been processed through the hospital's billing department and not the clinic itself. As far as new or refill prescriptions, they are transmitted electronically to either the mail order pharmacy or the local pharmacy so I haven't experienced any delays there either. The staff is very patient and kind with my mother, and have always been very helpful when I call whether it is during business hours or even on holidays with an emergency. My mom is usually a very difficult blood draw, due to Chronic dehydration, even in the emergency rooms we've had to have more than one person try to draw. However, Kimberly usually manages to get it done on the first try. Very rarely will she have to take a second stab at it. Overall, I am very pleased with the clinic and plan to continue taking my mom there.
